"Can EDII do salaries?"
For two years, schools kept asking. Attendance, fees, exams, report cards — all on EDII. Salaries? We had to say "use something else."
"Something else" was painful.
Generic payroll tools don't know your school. Your staff list lives in EDII, attendance lives in EDII — and salary day meant exporting spreadsheets into yet another login.
So we built our own.

Salary structures with memory
Every revision creates a new version instead of overwriting the old one. What you paid in April stays exactly as April approved it.
Exact to the paisa
All money is computed as integers, never floating point. No ₹0.01 surprises across 200 staff.
Append-only history
Every change writes an audit record before it writes anything else. Who, what, when and why — permanently.
Roles that deny by default
Six roles from Administrator to Employee. Anything not explicitly allowed is refused — on every request.
Your school is a wall
Every record is bound to your school. Another school's admin cannot see, list or touch your payroll.

Live in three steps. Really.
Invite your payroll admin
Open Payroll in EDII, pick the person, pick their role. If their email isn't on file, add it right there — one field.
They sign in with Google
The invitation lands in their email. One tap, sign in with Google at payroll.edii.in — no new account, no password ceremony.
Set structures, run salary day
Define salary structures once. From then on, salary day is a review-and-approve — not a rebuild-the-spreadsheet.

Foundation & access
Google sign-in, one-click invites from EDII, six roles, versioned salary structures, the integer-exact calculation engine, append-only audit.

Prepare → review → approve → finalise. The person who prepares salary day is never the only pair of eyes on it.
Payslips everywhere
Finalised runs become payslips staff open themselves — on payroll.edii.in, and delivered by email and WhatsApp.
Attendance-linked pay
Loss-of-pay and leave pulled straight from EDII attendance — the numbers your school already records daily.

Do staff need new accounts or passwords? +
No. You invite a staff member from inside EDII with one click. They receive an email and sign in at payroll.edii.in with Google — or set their own password. Nothing to distribute, nothing to reset.
Is my school's payroll data separate from other schools'? +
Completely. Every record is bound to your school, and every single request is checked against it. Another school's administrator cannot see, list or touch your payroll — the platform refuses the request itself.
We run salaries on Excel or another tool today. Can we move? +
Yes — a clean migration path from existing salary data is part of the rollout plan, and versioned salary structures mean your history stays intact from day one.
When does my school get EDII Payroll? +
Selected schools go live today, and the full rollout to every EDII school begins next week. Tell us you want in and we'll switch it on with you.
